What is SEO?
SEO consulting is IDI’s main focus in online marketing. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and involves creating content on the website and other methods to match keywords that are typed into a search engine, typically Google. Google’s search engine provides results based on many factors and is constantly changing, but basically it always lists the most relevant results in comparison with the keywords used for the search. SEO involves content marketing, which uses texts such as your website content, blog, and landing pages. Other forms of SEO involve affiliate marketing (connecting your website with someone else’s to improve visibility through links), as well as back end SEO, which uses meta data, URLs and internal and external links. Though this requires technical knowledge, the idea behind SEO is quite simple. Think like your customer and create content that they would find interesting. Although it can be sales focused, SEO is not necessarily just product descriptions for sales. It can include educational content, company information content for branding such as interviews and case studies, as well as how to guides and more.
